RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism reported a significant rise in licensed tour guides in 2024, with 3,284 licenses issued, a 168% increase from 1,221 in 2023.
Makkah led with 986 licensed guides, followed by Riyadh (665), Madinah (477), Tabuk (337), the Eastern Region (319), and Aseer (252).
This surge reflects the Ministry’s commitment to developing and regulating the tourism sector, aligning with Vision 2030 goals.
By streamlining the licensing process, the Ministry aims to enhance the quality of tour services and meet the growing demand from both local and international tourists.
